IT IS IMPORTANT THAT CONSUMERS CHECK ALL PRODUCTS INDIVIDUALLY THAT ARE PURCHASED FOR PASSOVER.   SOMETIMES PRODUCTS GET MOVED AROUND AT THE STORE LEVEL AND NON-PASSOVER (OR EVEN NON-KOSHER) ITEMS GET MIXED INTO THE PASSOVER SECTION.

 THE MAJORITY OF RABBIS TODAY AGREE THAT CUMIN IS KITNIYOT.

  Please note that information regarding Metamucil Wafers was listed incorrectly in the 2010 Passover Guide to Cosmetics and Medications published by Kollel Los Angeles and in the Star-K 2010 Passover Directory. The correct information is as follows: Metamucil Wafers are chometz and should not be consumed on Pesach. Please note that all Metamucil powders are chometz free as listed in the guide. Metamucil Coarse Milled Original Texture Unflavored contains no chometz and no kitniyos as indicated in the guide

  Trader Joe's Quinoa that either bear a Star K or Half Moon K are acceptable for use on Passover.  Quinoa at PCC is also acceptable.

  Mylanta in tablet or liquid form is acceptable for use on Passover.

  The confectioner's sugar sold by Wal-Mart under their Great Value brand is mistakenly labeled as being kosher for Passover.  The product, although certified kosher for year-round use by United Mehadrin, is NOT certified for Passover use.

 From the Star-K: All fresh packaged salads bearing the Star-K symbol are Kosher for Passover without any additional Passover symbol. Please note exception: Dole Very Veggie Salad Blend contains peas which are Kitniyot.

 From the OU: Baby Carrots under the OU are fine to use for Passover without special Passover certification.
