Many people, including the Chabad community, take care not to eat gebruchts – mixtures of matzah or any matzah product with water. Those who have this tradition avoid products such as Passover cake mixes containing matzah meal, and should consult with their rabbi about other related practices surrounding the handling and eating of matzah and liquids. Jews outside of Israel who are machmir (stringent) in this regard throughout the first seven days of Pesach make it their practice to eat gebruchts on the Eighth Day.
